Gal Gadot just revealed whether she would return as the Evil Queen if the Snow White villain were to receive her own spinoff.
Gadot, who portrayed the Evil Queen in Disney's live-action Snow White, said that she would love to reprise her role for a potential spinoff movie. While she was being honored at the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai Snow Ball Gala, she told Us Weekly, “I would love to do that. Yes.” The actress added, “Tell [Disney CEO] Bob [Iger]. Bob, I’ll do that.”
The 2025 remake of the beloved movie also starred Rachel Zegler as the titular princess and Andrew Burnap as her love interest, Jonathan. Snow White performed very poorly at the box office, making it the fourth Disney live-action remake that didn't break even (grossing $205.7 million on an estimated budget of $240–270 million). The other three remakes that didn't make back their budget are Dumbo
Most viewers associate Snow White flopping with Zegler's controversial statements and the way she answered several questions while speaking to the press. Shortly before the movie came out, the star expressed her pro-Palestinian political views on social media. This sparked major backlash and led to many boycotting the film. And, people only got more furious as she doubled down on her views.
Allegedly, things got so bad that the producer, Marc Platt, asked Zegler to take down her social posts, which she declined. This led to his son, Jonah Platt, making his own statement. In a now-deleted Instagram post, he accused her of "hijacking" the film and accused her of being selfish for ruining something that so many people put their blood, sweat, and tears into.
Zegler also criticized Disney's original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. She called it outdated and how it was weird that the princess ended up with someone who was "literally stalking her."
There are currently no plans for a Snow White spinoff featuring the Evil Queen at the time of this article's publication.
