Emma Watson is revealing the special meaning behind the diamond ring she's been spotted wearing lately.

The actress, 35, stepped out with a sparkly ring on that finger at the Miu Miu Womenswear Spring Summer 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday, Oct. 6.

She made a stylish statement in a blush-colored shift dress, topped with a brown suede jacket. The star paired her look with some chic accessories, including black patent leather pointy-toe slingback heels, sunglasses and a small black purse. But the accessory that really caught fans' attention was the sparkly diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger. The unique, vintage-inspired piece featured a large center stone, surrounded by a dazzling diamond halo to resemble a flower.

While posing for photographers outside the Palais d'Iéna in Paris, a smiling Watson flashed the ring as she waved, adjusted her sunglasses and brushed her hair from her face.

Fans speculated that the ring was an engagement ring from Kieran Brown, who Watson was last romantically linked to. However, Watson actually revealed the meaning behind the bling before it ignited any rumors.

During her appearance on Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast that debuted Sept. 24, Watson explained that the ring is actually a gift from the 22 closest people in her life, symbolizing the community she has built for herself.

“Having gone through this odyssey, which has been the last seven years, I was like, ‘Okay, I kind of feel like I’ve got to a place…where I want to celebrate where I ended up after I kind of left land,” she said.

“I did a ritual with—I guess just a day of celebrating with my friends and chosen family, and they each bought me this ring, which has 22 petals on it, and each of them bought one,” she continued on the podcast. “And I’ve just never owned anything so valuable in my life because to me, it represents the life that I’ve built, which was the one that I really wanted, which was one that was made up of community and my roots and faith and trust. And in some funny way, it signals to me that even though I have no outward signs of my success, save for this crazy one-woman play I’ve written—I don’t even have my degree yet—it signals to me that for me, [I] achieved what I wanted to achieve for myself.”

Getting emotional, Watson added, “I love that every time I look down at my finger, I can see all of the faces of the people who bought it for me.”

Elsewhere on the podcast, Watson discussed the topic of marriage. She told host Jay Shetty that she hopes to get married someday but doesn't "feel entitled to it."

"I hope it happens to me. But I don’t feel entitled to it. It will either be part of my purpose here and my destiny, or it won’t," she said.

Watson went on to address the societal pressures and expectations around marriage.

"I think the way we treat it is, 'Well, why haven’t you?' And this is something that has to happen in this certain time span and at a certain age, in this kind of way," she told Shetty. "It’s the least romantic thing I can possibly think of."

Watson continued: "And I think it’s such a violence and it’s such a cruelty on people — and especially young people, and especially women — to make them feel like they have no worth, or like they haven’t succeeded yet in life, because they haven’t forced to its culmination something that I just don’t think can or should ever be forced."

The Harry Potter star is believed to have met Brown while studying for her master's program in creative writing at Oxford University, where he is also a student.

The pair were spotted kissing in Jericho, Oxford, in July 2024, per E! News.

Watson — who has taken a step back from acting since her last feature film, Little Women, in 2019 — spoke about her decision to go back to school in a December 2023 interview with Vogue. She previously earned a bachelor's degree in English literature from Brown University in 2014.

"Because I’m in a career that moves very quickly, the decision to take time to do these things felt like a very big decision," she said at the time. "[Choosing] to go back and write and study and get behind the camera was terrifying for me because I’d never done it before. I had always been in front of the camera; I’d always been an actor."
