The Jurassic Park/World movies make up one of the most iconic sci-fi movie franchises of all time. They sit at the same table as classics like Star Wars and Alien, as well as more recent releases like James Cameron's Avatar and Denis Villeneuve's Dune. The dinosaur franchise started all the way back in 1993 with Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park.
Since then, there have been three iterations of the sci-fi franchise in live-action. The Jurassic Park movies with Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum started it all, with the Jurassic World trilogy starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard continuing its legacy. In 2025, Jurassic World Rebirth served as a soft reboot for the franchise, starting a new age with a star-studded trio.
Now, Jurassic World Rebirth has become the most-watched movie on Netflix in the United States. The achievement came instantly after it dropped on the streaming service nationwide on February 28. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, serving as a new chapter in the Jurassic World franchise after the end of the original trilogy led by Pratt and Dallas Howard.
Jurassic World Rebirth leaves behind movies like Firebreak, Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, the animated smash hit KPop Demon Hunters, and more on the Netflix chart in the United States. According to FlixPatrol, Jurassic World Rebirth is also trending on Netflix in two other countries. In Australia, it takes up the 5th spot, while in New Zealand, the dinosaur movie stands at 7th.

At the time of writing, Jurassic World Rebirth is trending on HBO Max in 22 countries. It stands as the most-watched movie on the streaming service in 20 of them, including Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and many more. Jurassic World Rebirth ended its box office run with a healthy $869.1 million total. Based on its reported budget of $180 million, the movie was quite successful.
Still, Jurassic World Rebirth is the lowest-grossing movie of the Jurassic World franchise, and the first not to break the $1 billion mark. A sequel has yet to be announced, though rumors about a new movie in the franchise titled Jurassic World Liberation emerged in February. With Jurassic World Rebirth's streaming success on Netflix and HBO Max, sequel talks should heat up soon.
