There are still a few stops before the Blue Bloods series finale. Prior to the procedural bowing out, CBS will air the retrospective special Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy on Friday, November 29, at 8 PM ET on CBS. Entertainment Tonight's Nichelle Turner will host the special, which will feature the cast sharing their favorite memories and some never-before-seen moments, in addition to new details about the famous Reagan family dinners.
After the celebration, though, there may be some cause for concern as to where the Reagans stand. It's already been confirmed that the Blue Bloods finale will feature a cop's funeral, though it's unclear who it is for specifically. Still, this lines up with what the cast has said about the last episode also including some sadness. Both the series ender and the penultimate episode will be an hour long.
The new synopsis promises that the long-running network TV will bow out with an appropriately urgent sense while also staying true to what the story always has been. For better or worse, Blue Bloods has always been about the Reagan family versus everyone else. It's An Unlikely Happy Ending
Reports made clear that, at one point, Blue Bloods season 14 might not have happened. The cast and producers agreed to pay cut to help ensure that the crew remained employed and that the story would receive a proper conclusion. Although the cancellation decision has proved to be controversial, these episodes have given cast members Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray the chance to have a bit of closure with their characters.
