A bomb is about to go off in Steffy’s marriage on Bold & Beautiful… and it appears that the fallout may land her back in the arms of her ex-husband! Join us as we take a look at the signs pointing to a Steffy and Liam reunion.
There’s a darn good reason Finn is struggling with how to tell his wife that his cousin Luna is actually his daughter. It’s because the gobsmacking information could blow up their happy little family. As we all know, Luna held Steffy captive in a cage, drugged her, taunted her, and was bent on leaving her to die in a building scheduled for demolition. Steffy managed to learn to live with Sheila being Finn’s biological mother, but this new revelation may be too much for her to handle.
Where’s it all headed? Well, the clues can be found the dialogue, as Bold & Beautiful is not known for being subtle.
Finn has repeatedly wondered out loud whether finding out Luna is his daughter would be the last straw for his wife. There’s a good chance that these scenes are foreshadowing that Luna will indeed prove to be one too many sinister relatives for Steffy to tolerate. Especially if Finn plans on connecting with his daughter. It’s only a matter of time, after all, until it comes to light that Luna is holed up at Bill’s mansion. So, while Steffy might be able to deal with this new reality knowing her step-daughter is behind bars for life, it will be a whole other matter entirely if she’s on house arrest and Finn’s feeling drawn to her as he once was to Sheila.
The writers have also made it clear that Steffy is not over the trauma of being held captive by Luna. Steffy and her parents got into a discussion about how glad they are that Luna is behind bars for life at the very moment Finn was in his office reeling from the discovery that he fathered the young woman. That makes it clear that it’s going to be a huge issue for them. Steffy isn’t going to let bygones be bygones or have empathy for Luna’s childhood or any other spin Finn might try to put on it. Not a chance.
At the same time as all of this was going on, Liam popped up over at Bill’s and got into a conversation with his dad about Luna. It was re-established that Liam was hella concerned about Steffy and the children throughout the drama of Luna taking her captive. Perhaps the most telling bit of dialogue? Liam gave Finn props for stepping up for his wife, which is a sure sign that he’s about to be put into a position to oppose him all over again. Soap guys always soften toward their nemesis right before being given a new reason to turn on them. In any case, these scenes made it clear that Captain Save-an-Ex will be at Steffy’s door full of support and concern when the news begins to circulate.
But there’s more. This week’s Bold & Beautiful spoilers tease that Steffy will make a sweet gesture toward Liam. This seems totally out-of-the-blue unless you consider that it’s likely part of laying the groundwork for her to lean on her ex once the doo-doo hits the fan with Finn. Liam’s had precious little to do on the canvas lately, but it appears that the scene is being set for his return to the front-burner in a big way.
The signs are all pointing to a “Steam” reunion if Luna proves to be an obstacle that Finn and Steffy cannot overcome. Have your say in the poll.
