Chicago Fire star set to make his big screen debut this January

We might not get to see Michael Bradway back on Chicago Fire as the new year begins and season 13 returns to our screens, but fans who have been missing Bradway are in luck! While Bradway’s time on Chicago Fire has seemingly come to an end, the breakout actor is gearing up to make his big screen debut in a new movie hitting select theaters this January!

As confirmed by Bradway on Instagram, he’s set to make his big screen debut in Nick Cassavetes’s upcoming film Marked Men: Rule & Shaw which will hit theaters in late January and he’s making his movie debut alongside an amazing ensemble that includes Alexander Ludwig, Chase Stokes, Sydney Taylor, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Ella Balinska!

Little is known about Bradway’s character in the film outside of his character’s name, Gabe Davenport, but we do know a bit about what to expect from the film courtesy of its official synopsis:

“Shaw has loved Rule since she saw him, but Rule doesn't see her as a suitable match. A night of drinking and secrets leads them to question if they can be together without ruining their relationship—or each other.”

We also have an official trailer for the film which Bradway shared on his feed to promote the upcoming film which offers up a brief glimpse of his character in the film, which is based on Jay Crownover's bestselling book series:

Going off the footage in the trailer, it seems Bradway’s character will be a bit of a foil of sorts to Stokes’ character who gets into an altercation with Bradway’s character within the trailer on a few occasions. From what we can piece together, it seems that Bradway will be playing the boyfriend of Shaw which explains why Stokes’ character isn’t exactly a big fan of his.

Chicago Fire fans who have been missing Bradway since his departure early in season 13 won’t want to miss the chance to see him on the big screen when Marked Men: Rule & Shaw hits theaters for a limited engagement on Jan. 22 and 23 in select theaters before arriving on Digital.

Honestly, it’s amazing to see Bradway getting the chance to shine in a new project and we hope to see him back in action in 2025 be it a return to Chicago Fire or via exciting new roles to enjoy. He was such a fun addition to the Chicago Fire cast and we’re still bummed the show wrote his character off as quickly as it did, but we’re looking forward to following Bradway’s career and seeing what might be next for the star on the rise.
