DEMI GOES ROGUE: THE “PEP TALK” THAT SOUNDS LIKE A CRY FOR HELP

Demi Lovato is officially back in the Disney fold, but she is not playing by the House of Mouse’s rules this time. The -year-old singer, who famously crashed and burned under the pressure of child stardom, just revealed she cornered the fresh-faced cast of Camp Rock to deliver a “mini pep talk” that sounds more like a survival guide for a hostage situation.

Speaking on the “Not Gonna Lie” podcast on Thursday, January , Lovato dropped the bombshell that she felt compelled to intervene with the new generation before the cameras even started rolling. Her message? Get out before it destroys you. Well, not exactly those words, but the subtext was screaming loud and clear.

“I actually did give, like, a mini pep talk to the new cast of Camp Rock when I first met them,” Lovato confessed. She told the group, “Don’t be afraid to ask for time off… It’s really important that you take care of your mental health so you can do the other things you want to do.”

This isn’t just standard advice; this is Demi speaking from the scars of her past. She bluntly warned them: “If you don’t have your mental health or if you get burnt out, that can all go away.” Translation: Fame is fleeting, but trauma is forever.

“I HAD NO ONE”: DEMI SLAMS HER LACK OF SUPPORT

The most heartbreaking—and infuriating—part of Lovato’s confession was her admission that she was thrown to the wolves with absolutely zero guidance during her own rise to fame. She essentially confirmed what insiders have whispered for years: the Disney machine chewed her up and spit her out without a safety net.

“I wish that I had gotten advice, and I think it would have saved me a lot of trial and errors, like, figuring out s my own kind of thing,” Lovato spilled. “I’m grateful for the path I’ve had without a mentor [and] without advice from others.”

That “grateful” line feels like heavy PR spin, considering the public meltdowns and rehab stints that defined her s. She admitted, “There’s no manual on how to be a pop star,” and it is clear she is trying to be the savior for these kids that she never had. She wants to “guide someone through the journey,” presumably so they don’t end up in the headlines for all the wrong reasons like she did.

“Demi telling those kids to take time off is the realest thing ever. Disney worked her to the bone. She’s trying to break the cycle.”

THE AWKWARD JONAS REUNION

Lovato isn’t just a mentor; she is now the boss. News broke late last year that she is serving as an executive producer on the project alongside her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and his brothers Nick and Kevin. The Jonas Brothers are confirmed to reprise their roles as Connect , but the dynamic behind the scenes has to be thick with tension.

The official press release teases that the story picks up when Connect returns to Camp Rock to “discover the next big thing” after losing their opening act. It sounds like a meta-commentary on the industry’s obsession with churning out new talent.

The new sacrificial lambs—er, cast members—include Lima Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, and others. These kids are stepping into a franchise that launched careers but also destroyed childhoods. With Demi watching from the producer’s chair, will she actually be able to protect them, or is the machine too big to stop?

WILL MITCHIE RETURN? DEMI PLAYS COY

The million-dollar question remains: Will Demi actually step back in front of the camera as Mitchie Torres? When pressed on the podcast, she gave a non-answer that has fans spiraling.

“I don’t know, we’ll have to wait and see,” she quipped. “We are making way for the new generation to shine their light… it’s just really exciting to see a new generation step into the footsteps of us.”

“Wait and see” usually means “negotiations are ongoing” or “I’m only doing it if the check is massive.” It is hard to imagine a Camp Rock movie without Mitchie, but maybe Demi is terrified of putting that wig back on and triggering some serious PTSD.

FORCING HER HUSBAND TO WATCH THE CRINGE

In a lighter—but still slightly painful—reveal, Lovato admitted she sat her husband, Jordan Lutes, down and forced him to watch her Disney Channel origins. The poor guy wasn’t a “Disney kid,” so he went in blind.

“I watched Camp Rock a couple years ago [to show my husband],” she said. “I had to educate him.”

Apparently, Lutes survived the screening. “He thought it was cute,” Lovato claimed. “He’s like, ‘This is where you got your start. That’s amazing.'” However, she hasn’t subjected him to the sequel or the Princess Protection Program yet. Probably for the best—some things should stay buried in the Disney vault.

CLIFFHANGER: WILL THE NEW CAST SURVIVE?

With Camp Rock set to premiere in summer , the countdown is on. We have a new cast, returning heavyweights, and a very cautious Demi Lovato pulling the strings from behind the scenes. She has issued her warning: Take care of yourself, or lose everything.

Will the new generation listen to the veteran’s advice, or will the allure of instant fame be too intoxicating to resist? And more importantly, will Demi actually return to the stage that made her—and almost broke her? We are watching closely.
