‘FBI’ Fall Finale Sneak Peek: How’s Maggie After Major Decision About Ella? (VIDEO)

Well, it’s a good thing that these agents are good at compartmentalizing. Maggie (Missy Peregrym) just made a tough decision regarding the care of her late friend Jessica’s daughter, Ella, and now, in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the December 17 episode of FBI, we get a hint at how she’s doing in the aftermath.

Maggie and her partner OA (Zeeko Zaki) are getting some time in at the shooting range. His old army buddy Clay (Guy Lockard) found out he has firearms quals coming up, so he’s been dragging him to the range for some practice rounds; he doesn’t want him to embarrass himself. Maggie says that sounds like a good friend. Speaking of good friends… did Maggie hear back from the court?

“Yeah, they officially approved Ella’s guardianship transfer. She moves in with her uncle soon,” Maggie shares. It’s a big change, yes, but it’s what’s best for Ella, she says. And for Maggie? Watch the full sneak peek above for how she’s doing.

“What’s really great about our show is we get to show how good these guys are at compartmentalizing and keeping the personal stuff the personal stuff and work at work,” Zaki told us. “And of course, there’s some blurry lines here and there, but so far we seem to be able to figure it out.”

Also in the fall finale, “Riptide,” after three customs officers are shot dead in a cargo heist, the team entrusts Clay to help determine if it was an inside job.

When it comes to issues of trust and OA and Clay’s situation, teased Zaki, “There’s some twists and turns in this episode. … There’s definitely something fishy going on—[like] all of our episodes—but I like to believe that I trust him fully. I trust him with my life. He saved my life, so I trust him with it.”
