FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 Clip Reveals First Look At Returning Franchise Character’s First Case

A new clip of FBI: Most Wanted shows a returning character's first case of season 5, setting the stage for the upcoming episodes. A spinoff of FBI, the series focuses on the organization's Fugitive Task Force, who investigate and capture people on their Most Wanted list. The series has had multiple crossovers with its parent series, including one character, Nina Chase, being a guest star in season 4.

Now, CBS has released a new clip from FBI: Most Wanted season 5, showcasing Nina's new role as a main character on the spinoff.

The clip showcases her first day on the job with her new team, warning Remy about a bomb in a building. The device soon explodes, setting the stage for a harrowing premiere episode.

How Nina's New Role Will Shake Up FBI: Most Wanted Season 5

Nina was first introduced in FBI season 4, originally brought in as a temporary replacement for Maggie following a sarin gas attack. She maintained a recurring role on the series through season 5, starting a relationship with Stuart Scola and expecting their child. Upon Maggie's return to the team, though, she ended up transferring to a new division, winding up on Most Wanted's Task Force as of the upcoming season.

Since she's now joined the spinoff, it's unlikely Nina will show up much in FBI season 6. However, given her relationship with Stuart and the frequency of crossovers between series, she will most likely appear when the two shows have another event. As for her impact on Most Wanted, her resourceful nature will likely assist in giving their cases a higher success rate. As her warning in the new clip proves, she is observant and confident while on the job, making her an important addition to the team.

However, alongside Nina's arrival has come Kristin Gaines' departure, with FBI: Most Wanted season 4 being her final season. This means the new team member will have a lot to live up to by filling the departing Naval Intelligence officer's shoes. However, given her observant nature and how much she proved herself in the main series, it appears she won't have much of a problem adjusting to her new team.
