Fire Country Star Teases “Shocking” Jared Padalecki Introduction In Season 3

Fire Country's Eve Edwards star Jules Latimer teases an upcoming season 3 episode with Supernatural's Jared Padalecki. Padalecki will play a SoCal firefighter named Camden, who joins Fire Country season 3 in the fifth episode and takes part in a three-episode arc. As the new episodes prepare for his arrival, there have been rumors that the universe may expand with another spinoff led by Padalecki.

Speaking with Screen Rant in an exclusive interview, Latimer revealed that Padalecki's introduction in the season is "pretty incredible" and "very shocking," and their characters "have a really beautiful episode together" dealing with "a whole fire that happens in a forest." Latimer also shared that she watched Gilmore Girl and has been a fan of Padalecki. Speaking about her experience working with the Supernatural star on set, Latimer recalled that "he's really phenomenal" and she had "a great time." Check out what she said below:

We have a really beautiful episode together, and even his introduction is pretty incredible to the season. It's very shocking, and we're all just sort of like, "Who is this guy?" We have to deal with a whole fire that happens in a forest together. Just as a person, he is such a great guy. I've always been a fan of Jared.

I had such a great time working with him. He's amazing. I just didn't realize all the things that he's done. I'm a Gilmore Girl, but just catching up with him and getting to know about him, his family, he is such a great guy. Him and Max are really great friends. We have such a familial environment on set, so it's always great to have new people. Jared is extremely welcomed at Fire Country. He's really phenomenal.

What This Means For Fire Country Season 3

While Latimer speaks highly about Padalecki, she also seems to confirm that Eve will only interact with his SoCal firefighter in a meaningful way in episode 5, in which Camden is introduced. Her comment also hints that Camden's arrival will impact the Fire Country characters for better or worse. If that impact also resonates with audiences, that may strengthen the chances of a spinoff with Camden, similar to how season 2 introduced Morena Baccarin's Sheriff Mickey ahead of her series Sheriff Country.

Camden is tied to Bode's (Max Thieriot) journey in season 3, being teased as a "twin flame" of Thieriot's character. At the end of Fire Country season 2, Bode asks his uncle Luke (Michael Trucco) to pull some strings to get him back into firefighting after getting time off his sentence, which will eventually lead him to Camden in season 3. Latimer's comment about Padalecki and Thieriot's dynamic on set also reflects on Camden and Bode, gently hinting that Camden's story arc has more to do with Bode.

Our Take on Fire Country Season 3

Camden Will Not Be Liked By Everyone

Camden is a part that was specifically written for Padalecki and has a close similarity to Bode. While everyone else is trying to tame the flame inside Bode, Camden will recognize Bode's talent. Though Padalecki's character will only appear in three episodes, it seems that his impact on Bode will have a long-lasting effect in season 3.

Camden's sudden appearance also threatens the progress Bode has made in Fire Country. He'll likely be greeted with some pushback since he's the new guy who doesn't know Bode. At the same time, he'll help stir Bode in a new direction career-wise, opening up possibilities now that the titular character isn't incarcerated anymore.
