Get Blue Bloods Series Finale Date, ‘Deadly Mayhem’ Plot Synopsis

Blue Bloods will wrap its well-watched, 14-season run on Friday, Dec. 13 at 10/9c, CBS has confirmed.

Cast member Bridget Moynahan, as the featured guest of the first TVLine Spotlight conversation (watch in full below), said of the very final episode, “I think that fans will feel somewhat satisfied… but then you’re going to want more. There are these nuggets where people are going to be like, ‘Yes!!!’ And then the show’s over. It’s going to be bittersweet in some ways.”

UPDATE: The synopses for Blue Bloods‘ final two episodes are as follows:

Friday, Dec. 6: “Entitlement” – Eddie and Badillo try to help a man whose apartment has been taken over by a squatter who also happens to be Jamie’s confidential informant; Danny and Baez investigate when a star student is found dead in her dormitory; Frank suspects the governor has an agenda when he comes to him with a proposal; and Erin oversteps when she tries to play matchmaker for Anthony.

Friday, Dec. 13: “End of Tour” – It’s all hands on deck for the Reagan family as they race to stop deadly mayhem in the city when the gangs of New York unite together to demand amnesty for the release of their imprisoned members and those awaiting trial; Edward James Olmos guest-stars.

Ahead of the family/cop drama’s swan song, CBS will air Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy, on Friday, Nov. 29 at 9 pm (also live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the special airs).

The one-hour, Nischelle Turner-hosted Entertainment Tonight special, celebrating 293 episodes of Blue Bloods, includes new interviews with the cast and recurring guest stars, who share favorite memories and behind-the-scenes moments from the past 14 years.

Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy also promises “a rare look inside the famous family dinner scene, where viewers learn family dinner secrets straight from the Reagans’ table.” Additionally, the special will share new details about the first time the cast had family dinner during the pilot “when they were strangers.”

Capping the one-hour special will be a sneak peek at the series finale.
