The holidays are well underway at Great American Family. The faith-based cable network began rolling out its annual “Great American Christmas” slate on Oct. 9, and will continue to premiere new movies — including a yet-to-be-announced surprise film — every weekend through Dec. 21.
This year, there are 19 family-friendly holiday premieres to look forward to — up from 16 last year — and it’ll be a family affair for Candace Cameron Bure and Mario Lopez. Bure stars alongside her daughter, Natasha Bure, in Timeless Tidings of Joy (Nov. 15), while Lopez’s son Dominic Lopez co-stars in Mario Lopez Presents: Chasing Christmas (Dec. 21), which the Access Hollywood host produces.
Two holiday movies will launch exclusively on Great American Family’s on-demand subscription streaming service Pure Flix: Sara Canning and Marcus Rosner’s Coupled Up for Christmas (Dec. 12), and the previously mentioned surprise film. Some of Great American Family’s original premieres will get an early streaming preview on Pure Flix before debuting on the network and GFam+, a 24/7, commercial-free live feed.
Familiar faces headlining new Christmas films include Danica McKellar, Cindy Busby, Paul Greene, Katie Leclerc, Sam Page, Jill Wagner, Greer Grammer, and Trevor Donovan.
