Jennifer Aniston spoke about how Ben Affleck’s involvement in He’s Just Not That Into You was her idea.
An interview posted to Dailymotion shows Aniston saying she “threw” Affleck’s name out for the role of Neil.
“I like to take full credit for Ben being involved,” Aniston said. “I just … love him. He’s great. And I think, you know, he just seemed really right for the part. So I just kind of threw the name out.”Aniston helped get the filming of He’s Just Not That Into You on the right foot. The star-studded film wasn’t easy to shoot, as each actor was filmed over small periods. Writer Marc Silverstein called Aniston “the nicest, most professional person in the world.”
“Jennifer is the nicest, most professional person in the world, and she came and set the tone,” Silverstein told Entertainment Weekly. “She came in and was like, we’re doing these scenes as written, and that’s what we’re doing. That set the tone for all the other stories after that. It was really, really an incredibly fun and exciting and fulfilling experience, from beginning to end.”
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially moving forward with divorce proceedings. Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20, 2024 — the second anniversary of their wedding on Affleck’s Georgia estate. She listed the couple’s separation date as April 26, 2024.
“She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken,” a source told People regarding Lopez’s feelings. “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been.”
Lopez and Affleck fell in love for the first time in the early 2000s. They got engaged in 2002 and broke up in 2004. Nearly 20 years later, they rekindled their flame in 2021 and tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022. A month later, they had a wedding for family and friends in Georgia.
