Katherine Renee Kane To Exit ‘FBI’ In Season 7

EXCLUSIVE: Katherine Renee Kane will depart from the CBS drama series FBI in Season 7, sources reveal to Deadline. We understand she will appear in at least one episode before her character Special Agent Tiffany Wallace exits.

She joined during the show’s third season stepping in following Ebonee Noel’s departure as Kristen Chazal.

UPDATE: Kane sent a statement for inclusion regarding her exit to Deadline on Aug. 20.

“It was time to look towards new creative endeavors. I’m excited for the future and wish the show all the best,” Kane shared.

As Deadline announced exclusively earlier today, Lisette Olivera is joining the show in the series regular role of Syd, a trained Behavioral Analysis Unit Agent who is about to rotate into the field. She is positioned to take over duties as Scola’s (John Boyd) partner, the role that will be left open by Tiffany. Even though Syd’s work experience has been as a desk agent, there are layers to her personality and resume that will allow her to hit the streets as a field agent seamlessly, production sources reveal.

Wrapping up its sixth season in May, FBI follows the inner workings of the New York field office criminal division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation as they fight to keep New York City and the country safe.

The cast also includes Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, John Boyd and Katherine Renee Kane.

Produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with CBS Studios, the show’s executive producers are Dick Wolf, Mike Weiss, Alex Chapple, Amanda Slater, Rick Eid and Peter Jankowski.
