As a die-hard Eagles fan and retired Eagles WAG, there are few things Kylie Kelce wouldn’t do to help the birds soar into victory. In the latest episode of her podcast, “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce,” she shared her latest tactic to help the team turn a game around with her audience.
At a recent game against the Rams, Kelce and her friend and fellow Eagles fan, comedian Hannah Einbinder, were determined to help push the team to victory, even if it meant indulging in some pretty crazy superstitions.
“We were trying everything in our power to try and adjust the juju after whatever that first half was,” Kelce shared during the show. “Hannah posted a clip of all of us celebrating the blocked field goal to win the game. There was also a lot of me pointing to me chair.”
Why was Kelce gesturing to her seat as credit for the win?
“At some point when we were trying to switch the juju, we started with Hannah facing the opposite direction,” Kelce said. “She was facing the wall for a minute, you know, cuz she’s committed to the bit, and by ‘the bit,’ I mean winning.”
For extra good “juju” Kelce then decided to join in.
“Then I was like ‘maybe I need to face backwards.’ So then I turned around and sat criss cross applesauce in my chair backwards. It was a team effort. And by that I mean Hannah was turned around, I was turned around, and a woman two rows behind us was giving me the play-by-play, yes or no, and a brief description for every single play that unfolded. We were all committed.”
Kelce’s followers and fellow sports fans seemed to love the lengths the duo would go to for a win. “As a superstitious athlete and sports fan, I AM HERE FOR IT!!!” one fan commented on the podcast clip.
“We thank you for your service, go birds!” another fan commented cheerfully. Another fan added, “I think the Eagles should’ve named you two players of the week.”
