The new Avengers: Doomsday trailer is now playing in theaters, and it confirms the suits that five Marvel Cinematic Universe characters will wear in the film. The first three of four MCU Avengers movie teasers focused on Chris Evans' return as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth's Thor praying to Odin for strength, and the return of Fox's X-Men. The latter is iconic.
Not only did the trailer showcase some of the biggest returns from Avengers: Doomsday's cast — Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and James Marsden — but it revealed the new suits the X-Men will wear. That includes Marsden's Cyclops with a comics-accurate yellow and blue costume. Now, Marvel has shared a peek at Avengers: Doomsday's story that confirms a new set of superhero suits.
Marvel Has Revealed What 5 Avengers: Doomsday Characters Look Like

Marvel's new Avengers: Doomsday trailer brings back five MCU characters: Shuri, Namora, Namor, M'Baku, and The Thing. While Namora and Namor were antagonists when they debuted in the franchise, by the end of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
There is a mix of old suits and new costumes in the Avengers: Doomsday trailer. For instance, after debuting in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Ebon Moss-Bachrach's The Thing sports the same team uniform he had in the 2025 MCU movie. Namora also dons the same costume she had in Wakanda Forever, while Shuri's Black Panther suit appears to be slightly different.
The Black Panther changes are contained to a couple of greenish elements and small pattern changes, but the suit is virtually the same as that of Shuri's superhero debut. That said, M'Baku, now the King of Wakanda, has a long brown cape and green metal on his suit. Namor sports his blue suit from Marvel Comics with a tall collar.
How Avengers: Doomsday's 5 Superhero Suits Compare To Other MCU Movies?

In terms of Avengers: Doomsday itself, the X-Men appear to be the characters who will have the most distinctive suits compared to the ones they last wore, as Marvel makes the push to get the comics-accurate mutant looks onscreen. The Wakandans and the Thing mostly look like they did in their previous appearances.
The biggest suit change comes from Namor. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever redesigned his classic look to inject Aztec elements into Namor and all the characters from Talokan. Now, Namor's Avengers movie suit takes a step closer to the comics, rather than the MCU's original direction. As for M'Baku, his new outfit is more king-like than Wakanda Forever's, cementing his status in Avengers: Doomsday.
