Michael Weatherly Has ‘NCIS’ Fans in a Frenzy Over His Thrilling Spinoff Update

Heads up, NCIS fans — we just got the best news about one of our favorite duos returning to TV.

Back in February 2024, fans learned Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo would reprise their roles as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David for a new spinoff in the NCIS franchise. Titled NCIS: Tony and Ziva, the series will air on Paramount+ and follow the two as they raise their 12-year-old daughter Tali (to be portrayed by Isla Gie) in Paris. Well, it looks like we may get the show sooner than expected, thanks to a surprise update from none other than Michael.

Posting a photo of himself sitting in what appeared to be a hotel bathtub, Michael announced on X (formerly Twitter) that NCIS: Tony and Ziva officially wrapped filming the first season. What's more, his post had folks intrigued about what's to come.

"Ahhh … finally wrapping Season 1 of NCIS: Tony & Ziva," he wrote in the caption on February 20. "And feeling how much I love bath tubs."

When folks realized they were one step closer to watching NCIS: Tony and Ziva, they immediately shared their thoughts about it online.

"Wait! You mean there is going to be more than 1 season?! 🤩," one person wrote on X. "Not to be dramatic here but this show will actually change lives," another declared. "Exciting times. We can’t wait to see the magic you’ve created," a different follower added.

Well, we're definitely intrigued by this exciting piece of news! And while Michael couldn't share the exact release date for NCIS: Tony and Ziva, he did say on X he'll let people know about it as soon as he gets word to do so.

"It’s like UFO’s," he joked when a Twitter user asked him about a premiere date for NCIS: Tony and Ziva. "I know more, but I can’t tell you yet because of top secret blah blah blah."

Fingers crossed we get more news soon!
