Milly Alcock's Supergirl suit has been properly revealed for the DC Universe. After making her debut in James Gunn's franchise back in Superman earlier this year, the Girl of Steel will be taking the spotlight next summer in her own DCU solo film.
There is no word yet on when the Supergirl trailer will be released, but whenever footage is released, that will give a better look at the suit in action. At CCXP, Kara Zor-El's DCU installment is being featured with an intergalactic bar booth.
The Supergirl movie is set to be the next big theatrical release for DC Studios, as principal photography concluded back in May. Based on Tom King and Bilquis Evely's Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic series, the DCU film was written by Ana Nogueira and directed by Craig Gillespie.
Alcock will be the second actress in history to headline a Supergirl movie, as Helen Slater starred as the Girl of Steel in her solo film back in 1984. The last time the audience saw Krypton's last daughter on the big screen, prior to Alcock's cameo in Superman, was in 2023's The Flash, where she was played by Sasha Calle in the DCEU movie timeline.
The Supergirl cast also features Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills and Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll. Following his introduction in Superman, Kara's dog, Krypto, will also be showing up in the summer adventure.
There have also been theories that Alcock's titular heroine may be back for Man of Tomorrow, which will start shooting in April 2026. However, no confirmation of Supergirl being in the big 2027 installment has been given yet from DC Studios.
Supergirl opens in theaters on June 26, 2026.
