Mills will reportedly play disgraced Silicon Valley tech wunderkind Beck Wythe, who returns to his hometown of Pittsburgh after destroying his career with out-of-control, reckless behavior.
Mills' character will be integral to the story of Eve Harlow's Ingrid Derian in Watson season 2. After Wythe moves back to Pittsburgh, he meets Ingrid in a therapy group for those who man age Cluster B personality disorders, and they quickly bond. However, whether it will be the spark each needs to rebuild their lives after blowing them up or another unhealthy and destructive obsession isn't clear.
What Noah Mills' Casting Means For Watson Season 2

Mills will be a great addition to Watson season 2, which was moved to a fall 2025 premiere, but was one of CBS' lowest-rated dramas last season. He's the latest addition to a growing cast for the sophomore season; it was recently announced that veteran Scottish actor Robert Carlyle (28 Weeks Later, The Full Monty) will join Watson season 2 as the legendary Sherlock Holmes.
Randall Park's brilliant turn as Moriarty in Watson season 1 overtook the story, but the core of Watson is still about the good doctor and his team investigating and, hopefully, treating their patients' rare diseases. While Mills will be in a recurring guest role rather than part of the main or supporting cast, Wythe's storyline with Ingrid promises to be one that makes full use of its potential for drama in that clinical framework.

Noah Mills is a great addition to the cast, and it's notable that he and titular star Morris Chestnut already have established chemistry, with both having previously starred on The Enemy Within. Considering their previous history, Mills should slot right into the cast of Watson season 2 with ease, bringing a lot to the table even with limited screentime.
That familiarity belies the fact that this is a bit of a new type of role for Mills. His last three major TV shows – NCIS: Hawai'i, The Enemy Within, and The Brave – have all found Mills playing a character who is either a member of the military or law enforcement, which is typical for a procedural. As such, it will be great to see him embrace the challenge of playing a disgraced techbro when Watson season 2 premieres this fall.
