Fly Me To The Moon has some big star energy, and not just because it revolves around a trip to space. Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum will lead the story, their characters working on aspects of NASA's Apollo 11 mission – and drawn to each other as they do so.
Directed by Greg Berlanti – who was worked on You, Red White & Royal Blue and Riverdale – the movie is your classic “opposites attract” romcom, but set during the 1960s Space Race.
Here's everything we know so far about Fly Me To The Moon.

Fly Me To The Moon plot
The official plot synopsis for Fly Me To The Moon reads: “Sparks fly between a marketing executive and a NASA official as he makes preparations for the Apollo 11 moon landing.”
Scarlett plays marketing extraordinaire Kelly, who clashes with NASA's Cole Davis as he readies his men for the Apollo 11 mission. First, we see Kelly and Cole try and deny their attraction as she sets herself her own mission: to make the three astronauts going into space bigger than The Beatles. We love an unlikely coupling, and these two definitely have that energy as Cole gets more and more outraged (and secretly enamoured) by Kelly's wily ways.
But then, things get complicated. Kelly is then asked to stage a fake Moon landing. Will she betray Cole's trust? You've got to watch to find out.
In an interview with People, Scarlett described her character as a "very modern woman living in a time where women were often underestimated. She uses that to her advantage and is always a few steps ahead."
She also opened up about the film's uniqueness, and the fact that audiences are going to love its “big idea” nature.
"It’s not derivative of anything else, it doesn’t follow a formula," she says. "I think audiences haven’t been offered a big-idea movie that is both funny and poignant and original in a long time, and they are hungry for that. The film is totally entertaining and fresh. I’m very proud of it for its newness and scope."
Fly Me To The Moon cast
