The Batman – Part II will finally continue Robert Pattinson's iteration of the iconic DC superhero, with the sequel currently being in the works. After the events of The Penguin TV show, The Batman universe will continue on the big screen when the franchise returns in 2027.

As Scarlett Johansson is set to join The Batman – Part II, there have been numerous theories and rumors about who she will be playing in the DC sequel. One of the roles is DC's Andrea Beaumont, a.k.a. the Phantasm, who debuted in Bruce Timm's Batman: The Animated Series universe, with @dccommunityofbengal sharing a design of what the Black Widow star could look like as the anti-hero.

@RoyalMaj3sty also shared artwork for The Batman – Part II with Johansson as the Phantasm, while adapting the costume to fit the aesthetic of Matt Reeves' franchise. Check out their design below:

The Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran was announced to be joining The Batman – Part II cast on December 3, 2025, as the latest star to join Reeves' franchise. Colin Farrell's Oz Cobb is also set to return, alongside Andy Serkis' Alfred Pennyworth and Jeffrey Wright's Jim Gordon.

Principal photography is reportedly set to begin in May 2026, and while The Batman – Part II's character lineup hasn't been fully unveiled yet, audience members should not expect to see Zoë Kravitz's Catwoman, as Selina Kyle is reportedly not coming back for the sequel. But DC Studios has yet to confirm this detail.

Andrea was first introduced in 1993's Batman: Mask of the Phantasm movie, where she was voiced by Dana Delany, as the character made her DC Comics debut in 2020. Tom King brought the character into the DC canon through his Batman/Catwoman comic.

DC Studios has set The Batman – Part II to release on October 1, 2027.
