Finn nodded, knowing this wouldn’t sit well with his wife. “I had to see her, Steffy.”
Steffy recoiled, her fury mounting. “She tried to kill me!” she spat, her voice trembling with rage. “And you—” she choked on her words, struggling to comprehend the emotions on Finn’s face. “You’re what—bonding with her?”
“She’s my daughter,” Finn said, his voice firm. “I can’t just ignore that.”
Steffy felt as though the walls were closing in, memories of being drugged and pleading for her life flashing through her mind. “Did she tell you how she laughed in my face?” she demanded, her voice raw. “How she enjoyed watching me cry?”
Finn remained silent. The look in his eyes told Steffy everything she needed to know. Without another word, she grabbed her purse and stormed toward the door.
“Where are you going?” Finn called after her, though he already knew the answer.
“To Bill’s,” Steffy shot back. “This ends now.”
Luna Faces Steffy’s Fury
Over at Bill Spencer’s mansion, Luna sat uneasily as Bill laid down the law. “You can’t see Finn,” Bill told her firmly. “You killed your father.”
“I didn’t,” Luna whispered, shaking her head. “Finn is my father.”
Bill’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Finn? Your cousin?” he repeated, dumbfounded. “You’re telling me Finn came here, and you answered the damn door?”
Luna nodded, recounting the emotional moment. Bill’s expression darkened. “For your sake and mine,” he warned, “you better hope he keeps his mouth shut. Otherwise, you’ll be back in prison before you know it.”
Luna squared her shoulders. “I can be my father’s daughter,” she said with quiet determination.
Before Bill could respond, the doors to the mansion burst open, and Steffy stormed in, her eyes blazing. “You are NOT going to get away with this!” she roared, her voice echoing through the grand foyer.
Luna shot to her feet. “Steffy, I can explain—”
“I don’t give a damn!” Steffy snapped. “You killed two men, drugged me, and left me to die!”
Luna’s voice softened. “I never wanted to hurt you.”
Steffy let out a humorless laugh. “You laughed in my face, remember?” she spat back. Luna’s lips pressed together, struggling to find the right words.
Finding out that Finn was her father had changed everything. For the first time, she felt like she had a real chance at family, at love. But Steffy wasn’t buying it.
“You don’t deserve any of that,” Steffy said coldly. “Not Finn’s love, not his kindness, not his caring. None of it. So get that out of your head.”
Luna opened her mouth to protest, but Steffy silenced her with a single, devastating sentence.
“You are NEVER going to see Finn again.”
