Now that the truth is finally out about Luna’s paternity on The Bold and the Beautiful, we’ve got a sneaking suspicion that history is about to repeat itself — big time! Because now we all know that one of our earliest theories about Luna’s dad was, indeed, true. Finn slept with Poppy all those years ago and fathered Luna.
But one thing we still aren’t clear on is whether or not Finn will be able to let bygones be bygones and try to build a relationship with a daughter who not just murdered two people, but also held his wife prisoner and tried to kill Steffy! He’s definitely iffy on the matter, uncertain of how he’ll ever break the news to his wife. The show, we’re pretty sure, has been trying to figure out a way to redeem Luna, but if they are, we aren’t buying it. And we’re not entirely sure Finn will either.
The one person who might? Luna’s biological grandmother, Sheila. After all, Sheila’s been terrorizing and murdering people since before Luna was even alive, and she’s been given countless chances to redeem herself. And we’ll admit, since becoming Deacon’s wife, she has toned down her murderous, psychotic tendencies and she could be just the mentor Luna needs to turn over a new leaf.
But she could also end up encouraging Luna’s scheming tendencies. Because now that she’s shacked up in Bill’s house, the young murderer seems to have taken a shine to Will. He, though, is too busy making eyes at Electra to pay much attention to Bill’s house guest. But that’s where Sheila would come in.
Years ago, Sheila and James’ daughter, Mary (though going by “Erica” at the time) showed up in Los Angeles and became enamored with Rick. At the time, he was married to Amber, but that didn’t stop Mary from wanting him. And when Sheila showed up and realized her daughter had gotten in with the Forresters, she jumped at the chance to help her swipe Rick from Amber.
Sheila framed Amber for sleeping with one of her henchmen, Lance (who Sheila infamously murdered a short time later with bees), and pushed Mary to get pregnant with Rick’s child. Eventually, Sheila did what she always does and went too far, kidnapping Amber and shooting Taylor and Brooke. Once she was locked up, Mary left town in disgust, never to be seen again, though supposedly the two eventually reconnected years later.
Now, we’re not saying Sheila would go quite as far for Luna as she did with her daughter. But if she gets wind that she’s got a granddaughter in town who’s crushing on the son of the absurdly wealthy Bill Spencer, we could see her doing everything in her power to help Luna get what she wants.
Sheila may be past her murder and kidnapping days, but that doesn’t mean she’d encourage Luna to play fair. Lying, cheating and tricking Will away from Electra and into Luna’s bed wouldn’t land either grandmother or granddaughter in jail, and Sheila might just decide it’s worth it to make Luna happy and land her Will.
If Sheila succeeds with Luna where she failed with Mary and helps her get pregnant with Will’s baby, surely a wedding wouldn’t be far behind. We’re sure that would win Sheila’s way into her soon-to-be ridiculously wealthy granddaughter’s good graces. And if the former nurse gets her hands on some Spencer money and wrests it away from the family, that would be just the thing to stick it to teach Bill a lesson and stick it to the man who betrayed her to the cops.
This time, though, we have a feeling Luna would likely be the one prone to taking things too far. Sheila’s scheme ended with her shooting Taylor and Brooke. Who knows who Luna could end up hurting when all is said and done!
